Sweat was arrested Sunday afternoon in the Austin area.
AUSTIN, Texas — Former Longhorn T’Vondre Sweat was involved in a crash with another vehicle beforeAccording to an affidavit obtained by KVUE, officers responded to reports of a crash in the 13600 block of N. I-35 southbound, in the Tech Ridge area, around 4:40 a.m.
Police said the crash involved a blue Dodge sports car and an orange Ford Bronco, which Sweat was driving. The people inside the Bronco told police the blue Dodge crashed into the back of the Bronco, causing it to lose control and go to the right. The Bronco ended up on its side on the service road. Following the crash, Sweat was found to be intoxicated and admitted to drinking two to three shots of tequila, the affidavit said.Sweat was arrested just before 2:15 p.m. on Sunday and was booked into the Travis County Jail, according to jail records. His bond was set at $3,000., given to the nation's top interior lineman, and was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.
