Joshua Wooters, 19, and Emily Dickinson, 20, were charged after the death of a baby that was found on a street in Fulton County.
Two people were arrested and charged with criminal homicide and related charges after giving birth to a baby and throwing it out of an apartment window in Fulton County, according to multiple reports.
Wooters was also charged with a misdemeanor count of obstructing the administration of law or government function. Dickinson said she did not clamp the pressure to stop the bleeding after cutting the umbilical cord because it “just didn’t work,” the complaint said. Police said she also said that the baby was moving and screaming due to the loss of blood after she cut the umbilical cord. Dickinson reportedly told police she was also hallucinating during the birth. Police said that Dickinson said she noticed the baby, which was born inside of a bathroom, died after she checked its pulse.
A placenta was found on the sidewalk and a blood-stained mattress along with other disposable items were found inside a plastic trash bag at the scene.Police said they served a search warrant April 3, where they found evidence throughout the bedroom and bathroom of the apartment. Police said Wooters originally claimed the last time he saw Dickinson was October 2023.
