An Illinois couple has died after a motorcycle crash on a local interstate, leaving their two daughters behind.
Cole and Morgan Whitford were reportedly riding down Highway 111 on Saturday, Aug. 3, when their motorcycle hit a vanAbigail Adams is a Human Interest Writer and Reporter for PEOPLE. She has been working in journalism for seven years.
"They would do anything for each other," said Sharon Koch, Morgan’s aunt, per KTVI. “But the fact that they’re together, somehow, resembles their love for each other.”Cole was born in Granite City, where the fatal crash occurred, while Morgan was born in Wood River, according to their obituaries. Additionally, Cole was a two-time American wrestler who “received many medals and trophies” throughout his years in the sport. The “devoted and loving husband and dad” also enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with his four dogs.to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.
Koch told KTVI that loved ones plan to “share stories” about Cole and Morgan with their daughters, “and we’ll explain to them who they are.
