Corey Conners finished 2-under par on the first day of the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio.
To better his chances as he vies for a third Valero Texas Open title, Corey Conners brought along his good luck charm — his family. “So my wife, Malory , and Reis are here again, they were here last year,” Conners said. “My in-laws came back again. They were here to cheer me on last year, and they're back trying to bring some good vibes again.” Conners said his family travels with him a lot, but the Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio is a fun place to bring everyone.
“I didn't drive the ball that well,” Conners said. “I feel like I did everything else pretty decent. But if I can drive the ball a little better in the next few days , I can make things a little bit easier out there. But it was a solid start. was playing really tough today.” But Conners could be picking up steam at the right point of the season. He’s finished higher on the leaderboard in each of his last two tournaments.
