Residents in Long Eaton have shared concerns after plans for nearly 50 new homes were approved. The proposals for the 46 properties at Oakleys Mills, a former industrial site, on Oakleys Road, were passed earlier this month by Erewash Borough Council.Residents have expressed worries about the scheme. Linda Braughton, 75, said: "What bothers me is the infrastructure and the traffic."People belting around here, it's a busy island.
"Something does need doing with it - it's been like that for years and years. I've lived here for 40 years and I can't remember it being any different." "It's busy in the morning with school. With infrastructure, I don't think it's coping well - you can't see a doctor.
