Some Saskatchewan drivers may be noticing their white and green plates peeling and deteriorating more quickly than in the past.

Saskatchewan Government Insurance said it has a policy to ensure that drivers can replace their licence plates when they no longer meet safety standards.“Any Saskatchewan licence plate displaying quality issues within the first five years, such as peeling, is considered under warranty and can be replaced with same or a next in series plate free of charge at any SGI motor licence issuer,” SGI said in a statement.
