There are few downsides to jetting off to sunnier climes, but one big con is the skin dehydration that occurs during and after a flight. Whether it’s a 12-hour trip to somewhere exotic or just a couple of hours spent in the cabin to reach a short-distance destination, our skin never seems to look quite the same as when we embarked the plane.
Go bare-faced “Remove all makeup before boarding,” advises Dr Ejikeme. “Pack a kit in your hand luggage which includes a makeup remover, and make sure to take off all traces of makeup when you get on the plane.” “Start with a product containing hyaluronic acid. If you have oily skin, ensure the product is gel-based and oil-free. If you have dry skin, you can use something thicker,” Dr Ejikeme says.
