Columbus could see at least 700,000 people this weekend watching and taking part in the Pride Parade. It's one of many events taking place in Columbus this weekend.
Columbus City leaders and police prepare for a busy weekend in the city, expecting over 700,000 people. "Everything that can be done to keep this community safe, can and is being done," Columbus City Council President Shannon Hardin said. "To me, this will be the safest Pride that we will see."
Without getting into specifics, Bodker said Columbus police will "have a lot of officers working this weekend," some in uniform and others in plain clothes.
