The Columbus Metropolitan Library announced the upcoming closure of its Barnett Branch on Tuesday.

The Barnett Branch, located at 3434 East Livingston Avenue, is scheduled to close for construction at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, according to the statement from the Columbus Library.CML will open a temporary Barnett Branch at 3227 East Livingston Avenue at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, according to the statement.
The library's collection will be reduced and only focused on high-interest titles until they return to normal when the new branch opens.The new Barnett location will be built on the same site and feature 22,000 square feet which almost doubles the size of its former building.
