Surprising no one, the Colts traded back in the second round of the NFL Draft.

Indianapolis traded the No. 35 pick to the Raiders for the No. 38 pick and the No. 141 pick, adding another fifth-rounder just three spots behind their first fifth-rounder, No. 138.Indianapolis addressed its most important need at No. 4 by taking Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson, and although the Colts have big needs at both cornerback and on the offensive line, an early run on tight ends at the top of the second round left multiple options available at both positions.

With that in mind, Ballard took the No. 38 pick he'd picked up from Las Vegas and turned it around again, trading the No. 38 pick to Atlanta for the No. 44 pick in the second-round and No. 110, a fourth-rounder, stacking extra picks to fill the significant needs for depth on the team's roster. "More shots," Ballard said."We think there's still some really good players. We've done really well in that fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh-round area."According to Over The Cap's trade chart, Indianapolis got the better end of both deals, picking up value in terms of the points system, although every team has a different chart, and pushed their total of picks to 11.

Indianapolis finally stopped its trading down by taking Kansas State cornerback JuJu Brents at No. 44.No. 44, second round - JuJu Brents, CB, Kansas State
