“This is a couture jacket and bag that Karl gave me in 1993. He just called me to the atelier and said, ‘Carlyne, you have to have this!’ I don’t wear it often. I don’t wear a lot of my collection of Karl’s Chanel designs often, and, in fact, I live under mountains of Chanel. But I love them as I loved Karl. This is what he once said about me in a classic jacket for a magazine article. After all, his words are better than mine: ‘Carlyne Cerf is an eccentric , a classic in disguise.
