– Clusters of storms are dropping into SE Georgia and portions of Nassau and Baker counties. There’s little to no lightning associated with the storms. You can expect heavy rain and wind with possible hail, but the likelihood of tornados is minimal.
Throughout the afternoon, be prepared for gusty winds, heavy rainfall and hail are the main threats. Circulation isn’t much of a factor; however, can’t rule out straight-line winds and the possibility of an isolated tornado. No watches or warnings are in effect at this time.Northeast Florida temperatures continue to rise under partly cloudy skies. Heat indexes will rise into the upper 90s.Isolated pop-up showers can occur. Winds will be gusty at times throughout the afternoon.
