More rain is expected to hit Southern California as a new storm system make its way into the region, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday is expected to be mostly cloudy across Southern California with a 40% chance of showers in some areas, forecasters said. Temperatures will range from the mid-50s to about 60 degrees.Forecasters say scattered showers will continue into Monday morning for some parts of L.A. and Ventura counties such as the foothills. Tuesday will bring a slight chance of showers in the Ventura and Santa Barbara County mountains, but most of the region will see temperatures climb to the mid- to upper-60s.
The storm is expected to start drying out Wednesday and temperatures could hit the low 70s in Los Angeles by Thursday. “We’re expecting to get a bit of a break in the wet period,” said Lisa Phillips, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard.for this time of the year, and many areas have already recorded an average year’s worth of rain.
