Students moved to another school due to campus closures still gather at their old alma maters to get there.

Some students displaced by campus closures in the San Antonio Independent School District will continue to start their mornings walking to their now-shuttered neighborhood schools. The 15 schools closed because of shrinking enrollment will serve as bus stops. Instead of heading inside for class, students will pick up transportation to their new schools from the sidewalks outside their empty alma maters.
