“Candlelight Hypothesis Workshop,” described as an immersive performance that’s part museum, part haunted house, part workshop, was originally scheduled to run through May 21.

“We are taking the health of our patrons, artists, and staff seriously and doing what we feel is best due to the very intimate nature of the event,” Kim Furganson, CPT Director of Audience Engagement & Marketing, told cleveland.com.

“Candlelight Hypothesis Workshop,” described as an immersive performance that’s part museum, part haunted house, part workshop, opened on May 11 and was originally scheduled to run through May 21. The theater’s COVID-19 protocols included requiring patrons, staff, and volunteers to wear masks in all public areas of the campus.

“This project has had a long journey and I am so proud of this production and the impact it has had on so many even in this short run,” CPT Executive Artistic Director Raymond Bobgan wrote in a statement. “The journey is not yet done—stay tuned!” The theater is in the process of contacting ticketholders about refunds or exchanges. The organization’s upcoming, a free community celebration featuring 250 artists performing social justice-inspired works, remains on track for May 28. The event is being held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 2600 Church Ave., and will require attendees to wear masks in all indoor spaces.
