ICYMI: Unionized staff at Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital voted Friday to authorize a strike as early as May 11 if an agreement cannot be reached on a new contract.

She said Friday afternoon that union members voted “overwhelmingly” to authorize a strike. The union the Clinic are scheduled to meet at the bargaining table again before the current contract ends. “The Clinic prioritizes profits over patients and most certainly over Cleveland Clinic union caregivers,” Dalesandro said.
“These are benefits that are offered to Cleveland Clinic employees, and equally should be extended to union members who are Cleveland Clinic employees,” she said.
