“The only place you play in the SEC that’s not hard to play is Vanderbilt,” Saban said in the video clip, from a September appearance on ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show.But in the moments after the game, as the Crimson Tide faithful headed toward the actual exits, and the black and gold minority raced to the field, that didn’t matter. Commodore head coach celebrated with fans and players on the field, but said he was unaware of the Saban clip before it was played.
