City officials begin process to redesign, renovate public housing communities in south Harrisburg

The Harrisburg Housing Authority and the City of Harrisburg’s Department of Building and Housing Development have been awarded a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to redesign, and ultimately redevelop, the Hoverter Homes public housing complex. Harrisburg officials say they have started a two-year process, which will eventually lead to redesigning and redeveloping Hoverter Homes and Hall Manor, public housing complexes in south Harrisburg.

The Harrisburg Housing Authority and the City of Harrisburg’s Department of Building and Housing Development have been awarded a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to redesign, and ultimately redevelop, the Hoverter Homes public housing complex.
