Great Lakes Brewing Co.’s Christmas in July is scheduled at the brewpub.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The brewpub will serve a pig-roast menu at 4 p.m. Blues musician Austin Walkin’ Cane is scheduled to play from 1 to 4 p.m., and DJ Red-I will spin summer and holiday hits 6 to 9 p.m.The cult-favorite ale is usually released around late October. For the summer release, it will not be available in bottles, keg sales, cans, growlers or crowlers.
Also, a limited amount of 2023 Barrel Aged Christmas Ale in four-packs of 16-ounce cans will be available. For years the famed ale was released with fanfare in the fall at the popular First Pour party, which is followed with retail distribution days later. It’s one of the brewery’s top two beer sellers – Dortmunder Gold is the other - so it was a no-brainer to add a mid-year release a few years ago. A limited amount of Christmas Ale on draft will be available at select Northeast Ohio locations this summer.“Joe Thomas: Not Your Average Joe” by Gray & Co.
