Head coach Drew Gilmer and defensive coordinator Adam Helms await fate.

English resigned from Albertville before the 2023 season after two years as head coach to take the job of quarterback coach at Hoover. English was 2-18 during his two years at Albertville and posted a 16-25 record as head coach at Grissom 2017-2020. Grissom reached the playoffs once during his four years.
Gilmer and defensive coordinator Adam Helms were placed on administrative leave, announced in a release by Hoover City Schools superintendent Kevin Maddox on Tuesday.. He spent eight years at Clay-Chalkville, winning two of the last three Class 6A titles and posted an 81-12 record with the Cougars.
