Kota Kinabalu: A China company was fined RM30,000 in default 60 days’ jail for failing to ensure safety on its project site which resulted in a fatal incident of a worker.
Sessions Court Judge Noor Hafizah Mohd Salim ordered China Railway Engineering Corporation Sdn Bhd to pay the fine after its safety and health officer pleaded guilty.The company failed to ensure safety and health of workers as the company did not install safe electrical equipment which caused fatal incident to Sisal Ramlie, 30.
