Child dead, 2 others severely injured after being ejected in I-45 crash in north Houston
A child is dead and two other people were seriously injured after a Honda SUV hit a median and flipped several times on Interstate 45 in north Houston, officials said.
Emergency personnel around 10:30 p.m. responded to a crash in the 7900 block of Interstate 45, Lt. J.P. Horelica, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters. Two children and one adult had been ejected from the SUV after the southbound driver lost control, hit a median and flipped several times, investigators said.Responders took both children, the adult and two other children, who hadn’t been ejected, to the hospital, Horelica said. A 1-year-old child was pronounced dead there.
