The massive songs of 'brat summer' visited a sold-out Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia Wednesday night

Though this wasn’t your typical co-booking, where one artist performs their set, then the other takes their turn.
The two stars spent nearly equal time on the stage, which was backed by a large, industrial scaffolding and dance platforms, and footed by a catwalk that led to a smaller square platform in the middle of the floor, surrounded by shrieking fans. Underneath the catwalk was a cage-like path where both artists also spent some time, slinking around and playing to the camera .
It was a punctuation on the night’s senses-assaulting success, morphing a sports arena into an after-hours club thumping with passion, excess and overdue exhale for an artist who lives to break the rules.
