Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh was absent from the sidelines at the beginning of Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos due to an illness. Defensive coordinator Jesse Minter stepped in as interim head coach before Harbaugh returned halfway through the first quarter.

Just minutes before kickoff at Empower Field in Colorado, Harbaugh entered the blue medical tent with trainers. It was unclear why he was getting checked out or what the issue was. Minutes later, Harbaugh was seen walking back to the locker room, ultimately missing the beginning of the game.
