Chappell Roan is once again calling out fans who cross the line and invade her and her family’s privacy as her influence continues to grow.
On August 19, 2024, Chappell Roan , whose real name is Kayleigh Rose, took to TikTok to denounce a series of fan practices she feels are “not normal,” including parasocial conduct from fans who act like her friends, resort to stalking, or respond negatively when she turns down a photo request, among other things.
Just think about that for a second, OK?” Roan continued in a second TikTok, where she openly noted that “abuse, harassment, stalking” have been normalized for celebrities, but it shouldn't be the case. “I don’t care that this crazy type of behavior comes along with the job, the career field I’ve chosen. That does not make it OK. That doesn’t make it normal. That doesn’t mean that I want it. That doesn’t mean that I like it,” she added.
