A new Chipotle, which is scheduled to open before the end of the year, will be adjacent to Karen’s Hallmark in the plaza.
The area next to Karen's Hallmark Store at West Valley Plaza is being excavated for a Chipotle restaurant. BEREA, Ohio -- Earth-moving equipment, chain-link fencing and empty spaces where businesses once stood: That’s the picture at West Valley Plaza lately.
Gone are the Upper Deck, which had been renamed Grindstone before going out of business; My Personal Trainer; Subway; and Super Cuts. Subway and Super Cuts have moved elsewhere in the plaza. Chipotle will feature drive-thru service. To access the drive-thru, patrons will enter through the new driveway next to Karen’s, then loop around to the back of the restaurant.Chipotle plans space for 14 vehicles at the pickup window. Matt Madzy, development director for the city, said the drive-thru will not affect the access road to the rear of the plaza.
