Former NBA player Chandler Parsons believes that Bronny James' time in the NBA is hindering his development as a player.
The Los Angeles Lakers signing LeBron James in the 2018 offseason was a significant move in NBA history, especially after James led LA to the 2020 championship. The Lakers have been relatively disappointing since then, despite having James and Anthony Davis. At 39, LeBron is nearing retirement, and LA's championship window is closing. To keep James happy for his last season or two, the Lakers drafted his son, Bronny James .
Bronny was drafted 55th overall this summer and has mostly sat on the Lakers' bench. While Bronny has played in the G League, many believe he should spend more time there until he shows he can play alongside his father and the best. Former Memphis Grizzlies forward and retired nine-year NBA veteran, Chandler Parsons, shared his opinion on Bronny's situation on FanDuel TV. 'I think bumping Bronny up to the NBA stunts his growth,' Parsons said. 'This isn't the business of pleasing LeBron James. It's the business of winning basketball games, and Bronny James won't help the Lakers win basketball games right now.
