LG went big at its CES press conference on Wednesday, unveiling a 97-inch OLED TV with wireless technology capable of real-time video and audio transmission at up to 4K 120Hz.

LAS VEGAS — LG Corp. went big at its CES press conference on Wednesday, unveiling a 97-inch OLED TV with wireless technology capable of real-time video and audio transmission at up to 4K 120Hz.

The Signature OLED M TV: 4K 120 Hz is the first to support so-called Zero Connect wireless video and audio transmissions. This allows consumers to plug their devices into a large external box and send a 4K 120Hz picture to the TV from up to 30 feet away without running cables directly into the set. LG claims its algorithm minimizes disruptions by people and pets moving through the room.

Kicking off an all-day lineup of press conferences, LG 003550, also unveiled home appliances such as an automated refrigerator, a deodorizing shoe case and an end table with a built-in air purifier. It showcased a car cockpit concept that would compete against Apple Inc.’s AAPL, +1.03% CarPlay and Alphabet Inc.’s GOOGL, -1.17% GOOG, -1.10% Android Auto. LG also announced a partnership with Paramount Streaming to bring Pluto TV to LG Channels with more than 100 channels worldwide this quarter.

Wednesday’s Media Day at CES continues with Bosch Ltd. 500530, -1.60%, Hisense Electronics 600060, -0.71%, Panasonic Holdings Corp. 6752, -0.14%, Brunswick Corp. BC, +3.63%, Canon Inc. 7751, +0.76%, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. 005930, +1.04% and Sony Group Corp. SONY, +1.50%, among others.
