Celine Dion is reportedly making her much-awaited comeback during the Paris Olympics' opening ceremony on Friday (July 26).
The “My Heart Will Go On” icon was seen in the French capital on Monday at Royal Monceau hotel near the Champs-Élysées, per the publication, though there is no official announcement or any details surrounding her potential performance. Dion previously performed “The Power of the Dream” at the opening ceremony for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
If she does take the stage, it will mark Dion’s first performance since she cancelled the dates on her North American Courage world tour before revealing she is fighting Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes severe muscle spasms. that during a recent sit-down with Dion, the Canadian superstar almost spilled the beans about a potential return to the stage.
It’s long been a tradition for her when she’s in Paris during the summer to spend time outside her hotel taking selfies and signing autographs.
