Mobley, the 49th pick of the 2022 draft, stuffed the stat sheet once again, pouring in 18 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out four assists in 32 productive minutes. Rookie Emoni Bates added 15 points on an inefficient 5 of 15 from the field and 2 of 8 from 3-point range. Cooper tallied 11 points before leaving with injury. His status for Sunday’s playoff round is uncertain. Sources say Merrill is likely to play. The Cavs don’t yet know who their opponent will be.
In the days leading up to Summer League, Porter talked about being overlooked and playing with a chip on his shoulder. This is the best thing for my career.”
