A house cat, named Rayne Beau, who disappeared during a couple's trip to Yellowstone National Park in early June has reunited with his owners after two months — and traveling almost 900 miles.

Benny also told NBC News that a Yellowstone employee warned them that a pack of coyotes had attacked a small dog in the area around the same time, hinting that Rayne Beau's return would be unlikely.to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.However, as they traveled away from the campsite, Benny and Susanne saw a double rainbow — a nod to their cat's namesake — and took it as a sign that their pet would be okay.
"He was really depleted," Susanne told the outlet. "He probably didn’t have a lot of energy to even go further."
