The Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association will relocate and restore the carousel house.
The Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association is planning to relocate the carousel house from the former Williams Grove Amusement Park to 1 Steam Engine Hill in Monroe Township. A 95-year-old carousel house that was located at the former Williams Grove Amusement Park will have a new home.is planning to relocate the carousel house to its property at 1 Steam Engine Hill in Monroe Township adjacent to the former amusement park’s land.
The current owner of the land of the former Williams Grove Amusement Park donated the carousel house to the association. The Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association was formed in 1958 to educate people about different methods of farming originally centered on steam engines. The association holds different shows in the spring, summer and fall. There has been a train on the grounds since 1961. About 15 years ago, the association purchased the land. And in order to pay for the mortgage, the association began hosting the WGHSEA Farmers Flea Market every Sunday.
