Ex–HP CEO and GOP presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina say she'll vote for Biden

“ ‘I’ve been very clear that I can’t support Donald Trump. And, you know, elections are binary choices.’ ”

— Carly Fiorina, former Republican presidential hopeful The line above comes from Carly Fiorina, known in part for her unsuccessful bid to become the Republican Party’s presidential nominee in 2016, as she said that she’ll vote for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. “There are plenty of policy differences that I have with Joe Biden, and there are plenty of policy differences that I have with the more progressive wing of the Democrat Party,” she also said in an interview with The Atlantic.

“And yet, I think when Biden talks about the soul of the nation, I think what he’s talking about is values and principles and character. Principles like coequal branches of government, principles like problem-solving should be a collaborative process, a bipartisan process. I think all those things matter.

Fiorina is also known for serving from 1999 to 2005 as the CEO of Hewlett-Packard, which has since split into HP Inc. HPQ, -0.83% and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. HPE, -0.37% , as well as for briefly being Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s running mate in the 2016 Republican primary. And see:Biden’s running-mate search is getting ‘outsized attention’ and could even shake the stock market
