This year's festival will feature more than 100 different performances on nine different stages.

The candies were sold in a variety of packaging, such as bags, pouches and tubs. Many of the recalled products were coated pretzels or cookies.

No illnesses have been reported but production of the candy has been suspended while the FDA and the company work to determine the source of the problem, according to the recall notice. Most people infected with salmonella develop diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps within six hours to six days after consuming food contaminated with the bacteria. Illnesses typically last four to seven days. Vulnerable people, including children, people older than 65 and those with weakened immune systems may develop severe illnesses that require medical care or hospitalization.

Anyone who has bought white-coated confectionary items manufactured by Palmer Candy Company should return them for a full refund.
