China slams Canada PM Trudeau's slave labor comment, threatens 'consequences'
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he found out about the intelligence report from the newspaper, and on WednesdayBut on Thursday Chong said he had been told by Trudeau's own national security advisor that the report had been circulated to the Privy Council Office, which supports the prime minister and his Cabinet, in 2021.
"His words disregarded facts and confounded black with white. The Chinese side expresses its strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition to this," the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa said in a statement.
