The towers’ builder — Dallas developer Sanders Campbell — picked the gold glass after seeing it on a Houston building. Along with the good looks, since 90% of the sunlight was reflected, Campbell could tout the project as an “energy saver.” And while cheaper mirrored glass buildings from the 1970s and 1980s are showing their age, the Campbell Centre’s windows have kept their shine.“When it was built, there really wasn’t much out there,” he said. “It was a very Dallas move.”
