Marking Cabello's first solo release since 2018, the contrasting tunes present very different vibes, with the intensely personal "Shameless" chugging along on a rock-ish guitar and a spare, clicking beat while "Liar" is an explosion of hip-swaying Latin rhythms, bright horns and reggae-like strumming.
The Henry Scholfield-directed video for "Shameless" amps up the song's urgency, flashing between scenes of Cabello crawling across the floor of an empty mansion, burning with desire in a church confessional and eerie scenes of an army of red-dressed Camilas doing a choreographed dance in the sand.
