A simple putting mistake could potentially lead to Cameron Young missing the cut at this year’s PGA Championship.
Young was on his seventh hole during Friday’s second round at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, where he shot the ball onto the green of the par-4 16th hole and his 59-foot birdie putt came up a couple of feet short.
“As a result, when he replaced the ball and holed out, Young had played from a wrong place and incurred the General Penalty for breaching Rule 15.3,” the PGA Championship rules committee said in a statement.USA TODAY Sports via Reuters Con
