Calvin Klein's New York City flagship is part of a retail plan to open global flagships around the world.
A 7,294-square-foot store will open in SoHo at 530 Broadway, a renovated property reimagined by real estate development firm Shvo. The company anticipates opening the store by the end of 2025.
Built at the turn of the 20th century, 530 Broadway is comprised of what was originally three adjacent structures on SoHo’s coveted corner at Broadway and Spring.Calvin Klein previously had a Manhattan flagship for the Collection at 654 Madison Avenue, which opened in 1995.
The store abruptly closed in 2019 following a transformation by Sterling Ruby in June 2017 into an otherworldly installation consisting of bright yellow walls, industrial scaffolding and soft, tie-dye fabric sculptures.This past June, Calvin Klein opened its first global flagship on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris.
Klein’s Paris flagship is bathed in shades of white and cream, with pink wood and stainless steel accents. It’s the expression of Klein’s new “Chalk” concept, that’s intended to convey the brand’s clean, modern and minimalist aesthetic. The company trialed the concept with smaller stores in Düsseldorf and Rome before opening the Paris flagship, as reported.on board as creative director for Collection, which will return to the runway in February for the fall 2025 season.
