The island's lack of a formal clinic has led to a group of those suffering the after-effects of the virus to set up a community support group.
Health bosses said the services of a Jersey GP specialist were being used to run clinics for islanders in the bailiwick with long Covid.It is unknown exactly how many in the bailiwick have the condition, but Ms O'Brien said it was more than the government thought. "The more people come forward to say "yes, this has gone on a while", the more the States can understand that it's not just a few people."
He said: "Most cases are managed in primary care, with appropriate input from therapists. GPs can also refer to secondary care doctors as appropriate.
