A California man caused a ruckus on a Frontier Airlines flight to San Francisco by attacking flight attendants and yelling obscenities, federal prosecutors said.
A California man is facing federal charges for choking and assaulting flight attendants during a trip to San Francisco this week that had to be diverted to another airport, the Justice Department said Thursday. Charles Angel Salva, 30, of Fremont is charged with interference with flight crew members and attendants. He appeared in federal court on Thursday.
Salva was eventually placed on a gurney by responding officers, restrained with soft cuffs and taken to a local hospital. The flight attendant whose leg was allegedly kicked by Salva was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. 'We extend our utmost appreciation to the flight crew for their professionalism and to the other passengers who assisted during the incident, as well as local and federal law enforcement, and the U.S.
