Spring in Utah not only brings warmer weather, it also means families are getting busy with soccer and baseball games.

A group of professors from Brigham Young University are tackling issues facing youth sports today with a While visiting the hosts of ARC Salt Lake, he said a lot has changed since he was a kid playing sports. Seely said kids participate in sports for primarily two reasons: to have fun and be with their friends.According to data from the Strong Youth Project, 70% of kids quit sports by age 13. And less than one in 100 youth will go on to play in collegiate sports. Of those collegiate athletes, Seely said that one in 100 will sign a professional contract.
