The inside linebacker missed two games with a knee sprain but returned to the lineup Sunday, played every defensive snap and finished with a game-high nine tackles and a pair of tackles for loss. As good as Alex Singleton’s been, Jewell is a difference-maker on the Denver defense when he’s healthy. The only issue so far this season has been that he missed time with a calf strain and then again with a knee injury.
He started the season on the inactive list or playing sparingly, but had his best game as a pro in London, forcing a fumble on a strip sack of Trevor Lawrence. Third-round tight end Greg Dulcich is the team’s No. 3 passing option at this point after just three games off of injured reserve. Fourth-round corner Damarri Mathis is getting picked on some, but starting opposite Pat Surtain II and using his length and his demeanor to his advantage.
