UK army confirms a 'small number' of active soldiers left their posts to fight in Ukraine in personal capacities, warning their capture in the battlefields risks a 'dangerous situation' with Russia
Some British soldiers have"disobeyed orders and gone absent without leave" to fight alongside Ukrainians against Russia, Sky News reports, citing an unnamed official.
"They will be breaking the law and they will be prosecuted when they return for going absent without leave or deserting," he said. The former marine spoke to reporters in the Ukrainian city of Lviv and said he went to Ukraine after seeing footage of a Russian attack on a house where a child was heard screaming in fear, according to a report by the Evening Standard.
