Construction is expected to begin Thursday on a repair and rehabilitation project on the State Road 16 bridge over the South Fork of the Black Creek.
The bridge is located approximately one-third of a mile east of Seamark Ranch Road.
Superior Construction Company was selected to complete the $1.76 million project, which includes installation of crutch bents, scour countermeasures and other incidental construction. Project completion is estimated in fall 2023, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. FDOT said that no lane closures will be permitted on State Road 16 between 6 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. each morning, and at least one lane will remain open during all lane closures.
