Per Deadline, as of Saturday morning, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is projected to cross the $250 million milestone at the domestic box office by the end of its fourth weekend in theaters, adding $16.3 million for a cumulative total of $250.3 million. This will see it draw perilously close to toppling Batman as Tim Burton's second highest-grossing movie in North America behind Alice in Wonderland .

Meanwhile, of the new releases, The Wild Robot has come out on top by a substantial margin. The animated movie is projected to debut to $35 million, which is the third-best opening weekend ever for a September animated release. Megalopolis has fallen significantly behind, with a projected $4.1 million gross placing it at No. 4 on the domestic chart for the weekend.
