Officer J. Aquino was greeted by fellow officers cheering him on, as he was released from a Newark hospital following a recent shooting.
NEWARK, New Jersey --
Officers stood outside a Newark Hospital yesterday to cheer on J. Aquino, the second of the two police officers who were recently shot. Officer Aquino was shot in the shoulder during the incident last Tuesday and was wheeled out of the hospital to a crowd of people. The other officer was shot in the leg and had been discharged from the hospital. The officers were responding to a call about someone spotting a suspect on the loose.
