Westbound Interstate 90 is closed 5 miles west of Cle Elum due to semitruck crashes at the Snoqualmie Summit.
WSDOT said two semis crashed at one location, and a third semi that did not chain up crashed at another location.CLE ELUM, Wash. — Both directions of Interstate 90 are closed due to multiple crashes and spinouts Thursday morning.
The westbound closure is at milepost 106, near Ellensburg. The eastbound closure is at milepost 34, near North Bend. “This is an extended closure until this afternoon due to the multiple collisions and damage to several sections of concrete barrier,” the Washington State Department of Transportation said on itsWSDOT first tweeted about the westbound closure at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday. A Washington State Patrol trooper first tweeted about the eastbound closure at 7:13 a.m.
For the westbound closure, WSDOT said two semitrucks crashed near milepost 67 and another semitruck that did not chain up spun out west of the summit at milepost 51.On Wednesday morning,WSDOT said it is reporting more spinouts and crashes on Snoqualmie Pass
