Police have received a series of such threats recently. None has been found credible.
Students were evacuated from two Montgomery County high schools Monday over reported bomb threats, according to Montgomery police.
The schools are Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring and Rockville High School in Rockville. Over the last few weeks, police have received such threats purportedly targeting Blair and other schools, but none of them has been found to be credible, a police spokeswoman said Monday. About 11 a.m., Blair went into shelter-in-place status. Police later said students were being asked to leave the building so officers could “fully sweep” it for any explosives. Around noon, police said they were investigating a bomb threat at Rockville high. “Students, faculty, and staff have evacuated the building,” police said over social media. “Officers are looking into the validity of the report.”
