Bobby Rydell passed away on April 5, 2022, at the age of 79. His singing career lasted for decades , and he is often remembered for dancing alongside Ann-Margret in the film “Bye Bye Birdie” .“I was not really a rock-and-roll singer,” Rydell said in the same interview. “That’s what you had to do to make it. I’m an American Songbook guy.”
